About Leah

Hey there!DSC_0263bwleahregsize

^That’s Me!^

I’m Leah. There’s more to me than meets the eye.

I’m a daughter, a sister, a lover and friend.

I view the world as if I am looking through my viewfinder, trying to capture each moment as it occurs.

I have a huge passion for my line of work and love the fact that I am able to do what I love for a living.

What is even greater is that I have so many different individuals who support me and my passion, which is wonderful!

okay, so let me introduce myself. *waving*

I’m Leah. I’m your typical all-American girl, who happens to tote around my Nikon DSLR like it’s an extra arm or something. I’ve loved photography ever since I can remember. I know a lot of people say that, but it’s honestly the truth. I can remember taking short trips to Charleston or Savannah and gazing out the window imagining the cool shots i could capture like the suns reflections on rippling waves of the river, or the way it cut through the trees in the forests creating splendid spot lights, lighting the other beautiful creations that dwell on the floor of the forest.

To me being able to capture the beauty and essence of all the wonderful things my Lord has blessed me with is exhilarating. I am thankful to be blessed with the talent the Lord has given me.

I decided in high school after taking many photography classes, that photo was definitely the route for me in college. I spent 3 years in the Fine Arts department at Winthrop University. In the Fall of 2008, I transferred to Francis Marion, and plan on graduating in the Fall of 2009 with my Bachelors degree in Photography.

I am so excited to see where this is going to take me. I want to travel. I want to do so much and experience many of the “must see before you die” places. Ultimately, I’d love to work along side artists like, Annie Leibovitz or Jill Greenberg. I’m also a huge fan of Richard Avedon, I LOVE LOVE LOVE his work. Maybe one of these days I will get to at least meet one of my idols. That would be pretty sweet. =)

I hope to make it further in this industry. We’ll see how it all works out. I’ll keep ya’ll posted. =)
